01What The Childhood Journal is, and is not
The Childhood Journal, operated by Maison GR (Québec, Canada), keeps a record of your pregnancy and your children’s years and answers general parenting questions with an AI that takes that record into account.
It does not diagnose, does not recommend medication or doses, does not assess the risk of an individual pregnancy or child, and does not replace a health professional. It is not a medical device. Answers can be incomplete or wrong; use your judgment and your care team’s.
02Emergencies
When a question describes a possible emergency, The Childhood Journal shows the emergency numbers for your region first. It does not monitor you or your child and cannot call for help. If you think a situation may be urgent, call your emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department without waiting for an answer.
03Your account
- You must be 18 or older and a parent, expecting parent or caregiver.
- Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Information about your pregnancy and children is stored only with your separate consent, described in the privacy policy.
04Free plan, subscription and cancellation
- The free plan has no time limit and needs no card. Its daily limits are shown on the pricing page; the emergency card is never limited.
- A subscription renews automatically each month or year at the price shown when you subscribed, taxes included where applicable, until you cancel.
- Cancel anytime from Settings → Billing. Access continues until the end of the period already paid.
- We notify you before any price change takes effect, and you may cancel before it applies.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights your province’s consumer protection law gives you.
05Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no attempts to access other people’s data, to disrupt the service, or to extract its content in bulk. Content you add stays yours; you give us only the right to store and process it to provide The Childhood Journal to you.
06Responsibility
We provide The Childhood Journal with care and fix what goes wrong. To the extent the law allows, Maison GR is not liable for decisions taken on the basis of general information from the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that the law does not allow a business to limit, nor liability for our own fault.
07Closing your account
You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Privacy; your data is deleted as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, after notice except in urgent cases.
08Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and Canada, without depriving you of the protection of the consumer law of your place of residence. Questions: hello@maisongr.com.
